We create our own happiness. Happiness is not contingent upon the external factors of life.
W. Clement Stone, my mentor would suggest that" happiness is an attitude that we choose."
So often, we complain about life, the alignment of the stars, the devil and all kind of things that are just outrageous as if they determine our happiness. Marriage, divorce, being single, relationships, business transactions, employment issues are the excuses we give for being miserable. When the reality of the fact is that those things have nothing to do with our unhappiness.
Abraham Lincoln shared, "people are just about as happy as they want to be..." Notice, "as they want to be", we chose to be happy or unhappy!
Jesus said, "...I have come that you may have life." Life in Greek is a life that is enriched and fulfilled. Let me suggest, a happy life. We have been granted this wonderful gift of life. Let us be HAPPY in it
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." I am sure that it translates as happy as well.
