Follow Me

The Presidential Races got me thinking about how movements are begun. The Democratic and the Republican Primaries are full of individuals who are sharing follow me because I have the solution for the problems that our nation faces. On the Democratic side we have individuals who are definitely "ambitious politicians", whose records are suspect. One as a state legislator did nothing meaningful before becoming a "rock star" because of style and not much substance. The other leader we are told we should support because she is the wife of former President. The Republicans are an interesting lot with a new front runner, a Baptist Preacher turned Governor of Arkansas and a Big City Mayor that was always suspect in terms of his ethical behavior and compassion. The interesting thing is that these candidates and others have raised hundreds of millions of dollars and amassed such loyal followings. And let me be clear, the record shows, these are mere men and women who have no concern about their constituencies other than being elected to an office. But yet we follow them and support them hoping that our lives would be enriched in some way.

Spiritual movements and churches are built in this age much in the same way, not so much on ideology or philosophy as much as the charisma of the person. We see that we have built a culture of superstar preachers and mega churches that we naively support hoping that is some way we can be blessed or feel good that we are a part of something beyond our mundane lives.

Spiritual movements and organizations are built not so much on the personality of an individual as much as it is the devotion and dedication of those willing to follow. For years I have heard the experts share that to build a church or an organization, it has to go beyond the personality of a charismatic leader. They cite many examples of men who built tremendous ministry's that when they die or retire are only a shell of what it was in it's glory.

I have sought to empower men and women who understand my vision and who grasp the teachings of Power Faith and Living, which is the lens which we view God, Ourselves and the world around us. Destiny is not so much a church as it is a spiritual movement of empowerment.

The reason I wrote the "Fourteen Principles to Power Faith and Living" was to develop a God-Inspired philosophy of living that would give the individual the tools to create an extraordinary life. It amazes me at times that the book has made such a tremendous impact on people all over the country and world, but in the local community where I serve only a few have even read it cover to cover. The scriptures share, "a prophet is without honor at home..." I struggle with this notion because it would appear those who I am closes to should be the biggest beneficiary of my teachings.

I want to encourage those who I am blessed to be their pastor, to read "The Fourteen Principles to Power Faith and Living." It is unapologetically written in a style that gives the reader substance in a day and age where many are receiving a shallow and spiritually anemic writings.

Follow me, as I am creating not just an extraordinary life, but a phenomenal life! Follow me as I manifest the Kingdom of Heaven and bring transformation through the Gospel of Jesus and Power Faith and Living.

If Power Faith and Living has made an impact on your life, please submit a comment at the appropriate link to this site. Your sharing will bless the lives of so many!

Live with faith and power and create a phenomenal life!

P.S. Be wise on who you vote for. Do not believe the hype and continue to fall for the same old thing be it from a fresh face or a retread. Please THINK!
