My dear friend and mentor, Pastor T. L. Barrett greets the morning declaring, "GOD MORNING"! What a declaration, that this morning and days belongs to GOD! I cannot imagine having the proverbial "bad day" or "waking up on the wrong side of the bed". Since I have adopted this morning greeting and declaration, my days have been all blessed.
Our days do not have to be "trying" or totally "out of control", we have to remember that our consciousness determines our days. I am not suggesting there will not be challenges, but it is not so much the challenges as much as the mind-set that we handle the challenges.
A story is told, one man looks out the window and sees mud, the other looks out the same window and sees stars. The mud exists, but one chose to focus above and beyond the mud and see the miracle of the stars.
Declare this morning, "GOD MORNING!"

Pastor, that is powerful!
I don't know if I've ever told you before, but your messages have truly impacted my life in a very positive way. My life has not been the same since I've embraced God's word and truly understand who I am in Christ, my hope of glory. I realize there is still a lot to be done but I believe that I'm on the right track thanks to your teachings.
