There is Never an Absence of God

I continue to deal with the thought there is never an absence of God. The Psalmist David shared, "Where can I go from the presence of God? If I go to the highest of heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in Hell, even there you are..." (paraphrased)The Pslamist is clear in his understanding that there is no absence from the presence of God.

In the presence of God there is every good thing. In the presence of God there can be no illness, because we are complete and whole. In the presence of God there can be no lack, because we have an abundance. In the presence of God there can be chaos or controversy, because He is Divine Order and Peace.

God is light and in Him there is no darkness. When light enters a room, darkness leaves. I dare suggest that evil can only persist in a world when we fail to be conscious of the presence of God. It is not that God is absent, it is when we fail to be aware of Him. In Proverbs it is shared, "Trust in the Lord and lean not upon our own understanding. In all of our ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

I heard of individuals reminding us to practice the presence of God. The revelation that God has given me is simply just to "be" in the presence of God. Began to walk in a consciousness of God's presence.
