Manifesting God in Relationships

The month has been a real challenge as I have been ministering lessons on Manifesting the Power of God in Relationships. The challenge has been in terms of sharing insights that would beneficial to those whom I have the responsibility of sharing. I believe the role of the minister is to ensure her or she hears what God has for the people of the congregation. The sermon is more than sharing of platitudes and cliques, but a powerful, enlightening message that transforms lives based upon the scriptures. The words of Truth/God (Bible) are essential and becomes more than just a frame of reference but an alignment with the will of the Father in the tradition of Jesus.

It seems that so many people are looking for solutions to their issues in relationships. Book stores are packed with titles on marriage, family, friends, associates, you name it. They tell us how to fix whatever the relationship, but ultimately the scriptures share powerful and meaningful lessons and insights on how to have empowered, faith inspired relationships that manifest the power of God.

Ultimately, everyone in our lives are in our lives for a reason. This cannot be looked at in a smug or cavilier way as we say, "people are in our lives for a reason and a season." We use the season part to dispose of the relationship at will when we feel that it has no further purpose. We must be clear that purpose is God's original intention for our lives. God brings people together not for "our purpose" but for His purposes. There is no such thing as a casual relationship, everyone is a part of our lives to manifest God. See the challenege?

Think about it, six billion people in the world and God has placed the people in your life in your way for a reason. We have been so unconscious and so unenlightened to think that it has been just about us. Think about the odds and how powerful that everyone that we meet and engage in relationship must be. WOW!

Embrace those that you are in relationship and challenge one another to discover God's purpose for your relationship.
