A wise man once said, "When you understand the value of the peace of God and Mind you will never give it away." I can honestly say that if you don't know the value, you will have a tendency of letting circumstances and situations rob you of the peace that is yours.
Think about the times that we have gotten outside of ourselves and allowed outside forces impact the internal peace that we have. We make everything greater and bigger than the peace that is our birthright that dwells within us.
The peace of God is not something that you have to acquire, it is given freely--it is your birthright, it is within every individual. The problem is that we do not understand this nor do we know the value of it. It is amazing that when I am challenged by certain situations, I know take a stand to rest in the peace of God that I have within me and not allow the outside forces to impact my internal peace and state. Why should I or you allow something or someone to rob us of what God has given us. The Old Gospel song shares, "This peace that I have, the world didn't give it to me, the world didn't give it, and the world can't take it away." But why in Heaven's name do we give it away?
The Apostle Paul suggested that the peace of God is as a result of a consciousness that is God focused. In his letter to the Church at Philippi he states, "Think on these things", "Finally brothers, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things..."
Wow! The Word is very clear about the Peace of God. If we want to have the peace of God, think about the things of God!
