I just love this time of the year! It has everything to do with the spring season, the warmer weather, my birthday and more importantly a celebration of the Resurrection of the Christ. Perhaps that is why we celebrate the Resurrection in the spring because it is like a new beginning. After the long hard cold winter (for those of us in Chicago), we now enter a season where everything is in blossom and the weather warms up--it is a sign of new life!
The Resurrection is a sign of new life. It is symbolic of a life of possibilities! Resurrection is a time of renewal of our relationship with the Father and the commitments that we have made to God and ourselves.
Think about this, Jesus made a tremendous sacrifice going to the cross. He sacrificed his life that we would be able to understand and to live and walk in the possibilities of life and all that it has to offer. If we do not embrace this time and the meaning of the Resurrection in our lives, we in fact dishonor the sacrifice of Jesus as the Christ.
Let this time be a time of renewal of the possibilities of life!
