Show Me Your Ways!

David shared, "Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths..." The Psalmist had a hunger and a thirst to follow in the paths of God's truth. David did not want the vain philosophies of the world, or the spiritual perspectives of the unenlightened, he wanted a clear revelation from God and to follow the principles and the precepts that leads to an enriched life.

Jesus called the Holy Spirit, "the Spirit of Truth". On one occasion he stated that "we need no man to teach us..." At best many of us can quote scriptures and we know doctrinal positions, if that, but we do not have a clear revelation of God. Our spiritual life is at best routine and even forced. Life in the spirit is a free flow--it is not rushed, it is not pressed, it is not forced. When we operate in the spirit we develop a desire for truth in direction and purpose.

The flow of the spirit does not come as a result of a spiritual teacher, pastor or guru, it comes when we are surrendered to the Lordship of the Christ within. When we are in this flow the natural response is, "Lord show me your ways!"

When the Father reveals His ways to us, we develop a deeper revelation of our relationship with Him and a deeper understanding of ourselves. Our lives are taken to another dimension.

Do you want to go to another dimension in your life? The ask, "Show me your ways, O Lord..."
The starting point continues to be in the basics of study of the Word of God. Allowing the Lord to minister to our hearts and minds through His Word. Also in prayer, prayer that is alignment with the Father, mind, body and spirit.

My prayer is that we will open our lives to the fullness of the Father and allow Him to reveal Himself to us.

Spiritual Prayer Treatment

Father, show me your ways.
I surrender to you.
Show me your ways.
I hunger and thirst for your truth.
Show me your ways.
Allow me to see life through your eyes.
Show me your ways.
I want to be conformed to the likeness and image of your Son.
Show me your ways,
that I may walk in my purpose and truth.
Show me your ways,
that I may glorify you.
In the Name of Jesus and Through His Power!
Amen! And So it is!
