Have you ever seen a carriage leading a horse? I do not think so, carriages are designed to be pulled by the horse is the first thing in the equation. It is the same thing in terms of creating and building wealth, the wisdom of God has to come first.
Most seek riches, honors and wealth as an object in and of itself. Individuals who seek spend a lot of time and energy to acquire forsaking many things in their lives, family, friends, spirituality, etc... The writer of the text suggest that the route to acquiring riches, honor and wealth is not in our common understanding and quest, but it is in the embracing of the wisdom of God. In other words, God is our Source and Supply and riches, honor and wealth are in our acknowledging and embracing the wisdom of God.
Jesus shared, "seek first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness and all other things shall be added as well..." It is not in the wealth in itself, it is in the wisdom that flows from the Father as our source and supply. If an individual gets into the flow of the Spirit of God and allow Him to lead and guide us in all things, the wealth that is created is just a residual.
We must listen to the voice of the Lord.
