Day 18-God's Wealth

"The blessings of the Lord brings wealth and adds no trouble to it" (Proverbs 10:22) (NAS).

Wealth is a part of the covenant that God has made with His people. Make no mistake about it, wealth is our birthright! The Proverbs are filled with basic references with abundance of material resources, continuing to emphasize the fact that as Children of God we are participants in the blessings of the Lord in every aspect of life.

In several writings I share of how the religion of oppression has limited our understanding of blessings. The masses of humanity are conditioned to think of wealth, prosperity and financial security as "not important". Oppression states to look for your reward in heaven, in spite of the words of Jesus that states, "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." Religion of oppression has kept the minds of the masses in a mental state of poverty, struggle and complacency.

The writer is very clear that the God blesses with wealth. Please understand that the starting point of wealth is not in our quest for things, but it is in our seeking of God. Jesus shared, "seek first the kingdom of God..." We have to make the Father a priority in our lives. What does that mean a priority? That I embrace my relationship with the Father through Christ. In addition, I live my life based on the principles and truths of the scriptures. This is key, I base my life on the teachings of Jesus, not in the religious context of dogma, but in the principles being applied to my life. God is a priority in my life, when the basic principles and teachings are the basic reference for my life.

The Lord blesses with wealth and "no troubles is added." When God blesses with wealth there is no need to wonder will I lose it, or some other things are attached with it.

Embrace your relationship with the Father and lay claim to your wealth.
