"You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks" (Gospel of Matthew 12:34).
I have been emphasizing the need to saturate our selves in the Word of the Lord. It is important to read it every opportunity that you get during the day. I am not talking out of religious obligation or some requirement, but to condition our minds in the Word of the Lord.
The World has socialized us with it's principles and precepts. The world makes no apologies how it has influenced our lives and perspectives. How do we combat this mind-set of the world? We do it by centering and focusing on the Word of God.
"Consequently, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god" (Romans 10:17). The more that we build ourselves in the word the greater we develop our faith. Then our faith becomes manifested in our lives.
Jesus in the text was simply sharing, what comes out of the overflow of our heart is what we have place in it. If I have placed faith and the Word of God inside of me, I will bear the fruit of faith and the Word. If I have allowed the world's philosophies to fill my heart, that is what I will receive in my life.
Is the Word predominate in your life?

Spiritual Prayer Treatment
Father, I submit myself to your Word.
Every available moment I will study your
Word. I will build my faith in your Word.
In the Name of Jesus and through His Power!
Amen! And So It Is!
Special Note: Thank you for those at Morningside Church in Blue Eyes, MO who were so hospitable last thursday and friday. Keep Pastor Jim Bakker and the Morningside Church in our prayers--It is nothing less than miraculous what God is doing there in the Ozarks. It was good seeing my friends Pastors Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty of Victory Christian Center, Tulsa, OK at the ministry conference as they shared the Word.
