Welcome to Power Faith and Living Blog this first day of LENT 2009. For the next 40 days in preparation for Resurrection Sunday we will using the acronym LENT as Let's Eliminate Negative Thinking!
It is customary during this season to "give up" and make sacrifices of things that are meaningful to us. Most often we give up a food item or some destructive habit. I want to challenge us to go deeper and look at our thought process and what we focus on.
In today's text, the Apostle Paul shares that our attitude or mind-set should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. I dare suggest that Jesus was the most empowered and positive faith-inspired individual that has ever lived. Paul encourages and calls us to adopt the same attitude as Jesus.
We are living in some interesting times and the world has defined it as uncertain. It is easy to get seduced by the dissenting spirits of doom and gloom and say how bad it is. Jesus viewed everything through the lens of FAITH and we should as well! Faith is a mental and spiritual attitude that sees things as they ARE through our spiritual lens.
During this time of LENT let us put on our spiritual spectacles of faith and have a faith-inspired attitude that reflects the God with-in!

Father, this day I Celebrate LENT!
I AM Positive.
I AM Faith Inspired.
I Have the Mind and Attitude of Christ!
I Walk in the Spirit and the Power of the Holy Spirit.
I Focus on Faith.
In the Name of Jesus and Through His Power!
Amen! And So It Is!
