"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2).
The pattern of this world represents the system and process of thinking according to the human race consciousness. The pattern that has been established is that we are mere human beings with limitations, dealing with the challenges of life. This consciousness is a apart of the fabric of our society that limits the power of God in our lives in every way.
Jesus shared, "if you have faith in me, you will do that which I have been doing and even greater things..." (Gospel of John 14:12) However, to do these things we have to have a change in the way we understand our MINDS and our THINKING!
The Apostle Paul was clear that we have to change our way of THINKING. In fact he states our minds MUST be TRANSFORMED. The pattern of the world, (the world's programming and conditioning) has shaped our world view. Paul suggest that we must go beyond that level of understanding and world view--Transform!
The only way we can TRANSFORM our thinking is by a continual focus upon TRUTH through study, reflection, prayer and meditation. The more we center upon TRUTH we transform our thinking and we transform our lives.
