In my class on Spiritual Economics, a course that I am teaching in the Destiny Center For Biblical and Life Studies I was totally awe struck by a statement. Eric Butterworth the great preacher and writer, in his book Spiritual Economics shared, "Don't Expect a Miracle! Don't reduce the practice of Truth to the naive effort to coax a magic showing from a reticent God. If you really believe that you are 'entitled' to the fullness of the kingdom, the resulting 'out forming' (manifestation) may appear to be miraculous, for wonderful things can and will be done, but it is the natural fulfillment of divine law (the Word of God). The healing you long for, the overcoming you desire, the prosperity and success you have been praying for so persistently--even though you may feel there are fantastic odds to overcome--these things do not call for miracles but for the disciplined application of divine law (the Word of God) and the steady effort to know God."
Think about it. We are always looking for God out side of ourselves to deliver some supernatural miracle, when in fact if we continue to remember who we are as individuals created and made in the likeness and the image of God who have the Holy Spirit (The Whole Spirit) of God dwelling within. If we walk within this consciousness we will not have to walk in miracles, we will simply walk in the fullness of God. (See the distinction) When we begin to understand Divine Law (A deeper understanding of the Word) we begin to understand that the same power that was available to Jesus is available to us--Now! So I do not have to look for a miracle because I AM the Miracle! Wherever I go the blessing of God accompany me (See Deuteronomy 28:1).
With this thought we center our lives. With this thought we live our lives. With this thought we begin our day! Imagine what kind of life we can create as we hold this thought in mind. Imagine the impact that we can make in the world around us.
Be the Miracle!
