Current Economic Crisis

I shared on my radio program this morning.

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from thier wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (II Chronicles 7:14).

Our nation is presently dealing with a economic challenge that we have not seen the likes of since the Great Depression in 1929. We are paying $4.00 a gallon for gas, people are now buying food using their credit cards at 21% interest. In addition, we are in the middle of a very bitter presidential election campaign season. In the past week there were at least four major earthquakes in the world and Americans were preoccupied with one of the Vice Presidential candidate's hair and shoes. Moreover, America has felt the fury of three hurricanes in the past month. Lest, I forget we are in the middle of two wars and their has been two terrorist attacks in the past week alone; one in Yemen and the other in Pakastan. It appears the world is reeling. It appears America is reeling.

Whenever Israel met peril it was because of apostacy. Apostacy is turning their backs on the Lord. I believe what we are experiencing in our nation is as a result of the "enemy". Jesus shared, "the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy..." Satan wants to destroy our nation it is clear. America was founded as a Christian nation. It was the place of refuge for the Christians that fled England, to create and build a nation that would honor God. Our forefathers, were very clear that we were, "One nation under God". I will be the first to say that our nation is not perfect and has not always demonstrated the best face of Christianity, but nevertheless, it is our origin.

I understand that the peril that we face is because of apostacy. As a nation we have turned our backs on the Lord. We have not honored nor respected the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and have not followed his ways. When a nation does not obey the Lord, the Lord takes his hedge of protection off of them. The nation become vulnerable to attacks of the enemy, that seeks to devour the nation.

Think about it, America has taken God out of the courts, we use to have the ten commandments posted in courtrooms accross the nation. Protesters say it offends them and it infringes on their rights. All laws are based on mosaic law (the law of Moses)--ask any legal scholar. We have taken God out of the schools and students can no longer pray. We cannot place a bible on our desk at work for fear that one can get fired. Our nation is seeking to become Godless to appease those who have no belief or other beliefs. Think about it, they are offended even though they partake of the blessing of being in this nation. Something is wrong with this picture.

A nation that does not respect God will not respect life. That is why we have the destruction of youth in our inner cities killing each other. A respect for God demonsrates a respect for the things that God made which is life. I still cannot believe the arguments that we continue to have about when life begins and is abortion a sin or not. America has fallen into apostacy.

I shared a prophecy a while ago that this day was coming when the markets would reel and everything that we thought was certain would collapse. I began to teach on the Word of God as God shared about our need to be debt-free and walk in the teachings of prosperity and abunandance. Many laughed and ridiculed me. They attacked me and said that I was preaching about money, even though people were losing their homes, and jobs. Well, the chickens have come home to roost! Those who are not prepared are going to have a tough go at it.

I am reminded of the Joseph who shared that there would be a time of famine in the land for seven years and to store up. Folks the famine is amongst us. To be able to make it, we are going to have to do it God's way. We no longer can rely on the Government or anyone to take care of our needs.

The beginning stage is that we are going to have to repent as a nation that has consitently turned our backs on the Lord and have squandered our birthright. Repentance starts with us, it is a change of heart and mind. We must turn our hearts back to God and seek His face as a nation.

Our hope is not in a presidential candidate. It is not in the governments almost trillion dollar bail out. "Our hope is build on nothingless than Jesus blood and righteousness."

We must turn our hearts back to God.

This is the Church's finest hour that we must rise to the occassion of leading God's people!
