"The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger. But he will reject the craving of the wicked. Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich" (Proverbs 10:3-4). (NAS)
"God won't starve an honest soul, but he frustrates the appetites of the wicked. Slothful makes you poor, diligence brings wealth" (Proverbs 10:3-4). (The Message)
I have stopped being apologetic about the notion that God wants us to prosper and live in abundance! All through the scriptures God states how he wants to bless his people and prosper them. So I begin this lesson today with the presupposition that God wants his people to live in abundance and prosperity in every area of life and that includes your wealth which includes MONEY! I have written extensively on this subject and you can order books and Cd's on the subject through www.keithrlee.com
The writer of Proverbs is clear that God blesses the righteous and will not allow hunger and lack to enter his life. Now the term righteous is loaded. It does not just deal with being in "right standing" with God, but it is also "right thinking". I can be in "right standing" with God and still be in lack. Because my standing and positioning has nothing to do with my blessing and prosperity in and of it self. Because I am in "right standing" I now must develop the right mind-set and consciousness to "think rightly" to secure the blessings of God. That is why Paul shares that our minds must be renewed and he tells us to have the "mind of Christ". Because the securing of my blessings are in my "right thinking"; "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..."
However, it is not just in my thinking, it must also be in our doing. Many make the mistake in terms of thinking God is going to move in some way. Yes he will move, but he can only move in you, and through you, even as you. God can only do for you what he can do through you. Meaning that we are major players in the God equation for our blessings and prosperity. "...the hand of the diligent makes rich". It is not the hand of God that makes rich, but is your hands that must develop the idea, develop a strategy and work the plan. Deuteronomy 8:18 states, "It is he who gives us the power to make wealth, that he may confirm his covenant..." We have the power to create wealth, but it will never be created if we do not work it!
Do you have an idea? Of course you do! God has given you numerous ideas for you to develop to create the wealth you desire and deserve! But that idea is only a seed. You have to plant it and cultivate it for it to grow! The reality of the fact is that in America, with a good idea, and tenacity you can create wealth in 18 months. However, the key is not just sitting around talking about the glory of God, it is walking in the glory that he has given us.

Father, I embrace my birthright of prosperity and abundance.
I align my thoughts with you and I think "rightly" as a
reflection of my righteousness.
In the name of Jesus, and Through His Power!
Amen! And So It Is!
